The main focus of the 62nd Fighting Falcons is flying in an ongoing, cooperative, campaign setting. At each month's meeting, we advance the campaign progress and report on the results.
For our current operations using Falcon 4:Allied Force we have adopted an approach whereby we leave the enemy under AI control, but take direct control over all friendly air and (to a large extent) ground operations. Our goal is to use as little AI as possible, and undertake all missions and roles personally. To aid in this we have chosen Iron Fortress as the most compact of the Falcon 4 campaign settings.
To date we have limited AI air operations to AWACS and JSTARS, plus chopper recon flights, and the occasional BARCAP to cover things while we undertake longer-range strikes.
The reports from the meetings are available below.

We continue to push northward through day 3 and 4 of the campaign, against limited ground opposition, but with significant enemy air activity. Our forces have recaptured most of the west-coast and central airbases, and are starting to appoach Seoul and the demarkation line.

The DPRK airforce has lashed out in a desperate counterattack in response to the Allied advances. Wave after wave of MiGs pounded against our defences, sending our brave airmen reeling, and causing us some of the worst losses so far. And then came the bad news...

In a dramatic turnaround, allied forces have boldly struck back at the DPRK. Following up on weaknesses created by repeated air strikes, our ground forces have driven wedges deep into DPRK-held territory, recapturing two forward airbases, and trapping the bulk of the enemy forces in a pocket.

After a frantic first day of the campaign, we were hoping for a quiet night - however, it was not to be. DPRK engineers were repairing runways at an unbelievable rate, and the earlier lull in air activity turned out to only be a temporary one. To make matters worse, the DPRK are starting to strike against our fleet, and their troops are pushing forward in the north-east. There's going to be no rest tonight!

The goal of the first phase of the operation is to reduce the enemy’s ability to project air power, as quickly as possible. A fast aggressive strike against vulnerable key airbases will have a triple benefit: reduce their available airpower, disrupt their mission schedules, and put them in a more defensive mindset.
